The Chandler High School varsity cheerleading team wrapped up an impressive season with strong performances at both the national and state levels, proving their dedication, teamwork, and school spirit.
This season, the Wolves competed on the national stage, earning seventh place in the nation, a major accomplishment among top cheer programs from across the country. The team also advanced to the semi finals in the Game Day division, highlighting their ability to hype up crowds with passion and dedication.
Closer to home, Chandler continued its winning streak at the AZ State Cheer/Pom Tournament, where the Varsity All Girl Stunt Team claimed first place in Divisions 1 and 2. Their strong showing demonstrated not only technical skill, but also consistency throughout the season.
Behind the trophies and rankings are months of hard work. From early-morning practices to pushing their bodies past their breaking points, this team dedicated countless hours to perfecting routines and building trust. For many squad members, cheerleading is more than just a sport–it’s a family.
“Cheer has taught me discipline and confidence,” said senior Mia Petersen. “We push each other to be better every day.”
Senior Leilani Martinez states, “Being part of this team means always supporting one another, on and off the mat.”
With national recognition, state championships, and unforgettable memories, Chandler High’s cheerleading squad has set a high standard for future teams. As they look ahead to next season, the program continues to grow, inspiring students and fans alike.
