Additionally, Luke is passionate about both beach and indoor volleyball and has a twin sister and two older brothers (also twins) who all play volleyball at CHS. Luke Knipmeyer is this year’s freshman class student council president and excited to become a part of the CHS community.
Melanie Harris, Reporter
Melanie Harris is a sophomore at Chandler High School and the public relations manager for the Wolf Howl Newspaper. As she is a sophomore this year, she wants to take the opportunity to branch out more with her hobbies and make more friends. Her goal in the future is to learn more about architecture because she looks forward to having that as a career. Melanie enjoys taking pictures and hopes to get more into pottery this year.
Ava Peterson, Editor
Ava Peterson is a junior and this year’s News Editor for the Wolf Howl. Dedicated to community engagement, she served as Treasurer for Future Inspired Native American Leaders (F.I.N.A.L.) last year, guiding projects and advocating for Indigenous youth; this year, she was elected Co-President!
After joining the Wolf Howl in her sophomore year, Ava made it her goal to share more Indigenous stories through her writing. At Chandler High School, Ava has participated in Academic Decathlon, and she has also completed internships in journalism, law, and anesthesiology. Ava frequently writes about Indigenous issues, seeking to amplify underrepresented voices. Ava balances academics, cultural advocacy, and professional development to create meaningful change in the community.
