The wind is blowing and the lights are out! Festival and joy in the air, many places are now putting up this festive spirit. From Chandler to Phoenix, these are many fun things to do. Come right in and have fun with all! Enjoy your time and make the most of everything. A recent post on the Visit Chandler website has posted a source of many activities to do! From lights, to Santa, to shopping, they’ve listed it all.

The Chandler Tumbleweed Tree Lighting is an important staple to this town. Being in the heart of downtown, it always steals the show! Surrounded by music and comfort, people come together to flood the area to have fun with families and friends. Along with this beautiful view are the amazing restaurants and other little areas where the city has decorated. Surrounded by community combined with its festive feel, it’s an especially spectacular place to visit. Have fun with props and even take pictures in Santa’s sleigh! The City of Chandler has already begun their decorating process in downtown Chandler, preparing for their official Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 6th, from 4:30 PM until 9 PM, where there will be food vendors, activities, and lots to see and enjoy. Each decorated part has its own specialty and harmony, come see it all!

Downtown Chandler Sugarland is another beautiful place that is sparked up with lights and everything jolly! With a life-sized fun and sugary experience, there’s so much to look at. Enjoy the sights of string lights and gumdrops that sparkle. You can see realistic life-size candy and take pictures with the beautiful lighting. Every place here glows and the air is filled with laughter, it’s truly a wonderful experience to view with others. A close community that cares about passion, this place is a go-to place for the holidays! This year’s Sugarland events runs from November 30, to January 2 Dr. A.J. Chandler Park West. It will be propped up all day long but is best to see at night when every light shines. Come visit with family and friends, see the wonderland for yourself!
At the Phoenix Zoo during Christmas and winter time, they put on the annual Zoolights to put the zoo in a festive mood. Families come to spend time with each other while seeing every animal and to gaze upon these lights. With the event having up to 700 light displays, 50 animal lanterns, and a 200 foot long light tunnel, it’s an absolutely magical experience. There is also an amazing synchronized light show that holds 15,000 lights! An amazing experience with so much fun, this is an event open to everyone, but you must purchase a ticket. Zoolights is open from November 26 to January 16. Available hours and dates to the Phoenix Zoo Zoolights during the busy holiday season can vary, so check the Phoenix Zoo website for detailed information and ticket prices.
If you’re looking for something a little farther out, then consider visiting the Desert Farm Lights located in Surprise! A winter wonderland in a nutshell—what a magical experience! From November 21, 2025 – December 28, 2025 this year, you can feel the magical events and scenery of Desert Farm Lights. With a candy cane maze, visits from Santa, and millions of lights twinkling, it’s an environment where you can get lost in joy. A place targeted for families and friends, a it will be welcoming joy for all. Thirteen acres of land with ice rinks, parks, and live entertainment! A special place for dates and new experiences. Tickets are as low as $23 per person, with upgrade offers for perks and other experiences, make your money’s worth and go have fun! Desert Farm Lights is open nightly Sundays through Thursdays from 5-10 PM, or Friday and Saturday from 5-11PM; only closed on Christmas Day.
