Ava Peterson, Editor
Ava Peterson is a junior and this year’s News Editor for the Wolf Howl. Dedicated to community engagement, she served as Treasurer for Future Inspired Native American Leaders (F.I.N.A.L.) last year, guiding projects and advocating for Indigenous youth; this year, she was elected Co-President!
After joining the Wolf Howl in her sophomore year, Ava made it her goal to share more Indigenous stories through her writing. At Chandler High School, Ava has participated in Academic Decathlon, and she has also completed internships in journalism, law, and anesthesiology. Ava frequently writes about Indigenous issues, seeking to amplify underrepresented voices. Ava balances academics, cultural advocacy, and professional development to create meaningful change in the community.
Sergio Patron, Reporter
Sergio Patron is a junior at Chandler High School. He joined the Wolf Howl Newspaper to get more involved with the school and engage in more activities. His favorite hobbies are playing video games, reading, and writing. Sergio plays lots of video games outside of school. His top 3 artists right now are Rob Zombie, Coal Chamber, and Drake. In the next five years, Sergio sees himself becoming an author who writes dramatic fiction. His bright perspective on writing will surely make a positive impact on the Wolf Howl staff.
