FFA Nationals is an event for the books

FFA+Nationals+is+an+event+for+the+books

This year our FFA Chapter competed in Parliamentary Procedure, Prepared Public Speaking, Agricultural Business, and Floriculture. Our Parliamentary Procedure team won Gold at Nationals, our Floriculture team won silver, our Prepared Public speaking won bronze, and Agricultural Business won bronze as well.

Nickole Espinoza, a Senior here at Chandler high who competed at Nationals in Agricultural Business, talked about Nationals was both stressful and exciting. Nickole said “I enjoyed every single minute of being in that room with our team.” She talked about  being able to work together and share ideas made the whole experience better and less stressful.

Overall, our FFA Chapter made our school proud and everyone who competed should be recognized and appreciated, as well as the amazing advisors that helped to get them there.

Lily Eaton is a cheerful freshman member of the Wolf Howl. Lily serves as a reporter, hoping to focus on sports journalism. Lily plays softball and feels like her experience with the sport gives her insight into being an athlete and reporting on athletics. She says, “ I take sixth hour softball, so I know a lot of the coaches and athletes throughout the school and I can make connections with them.” Coming from a charter school, Lily feels that being in the Wolf Howl is a new and exciting experience. After high school, Lily hopes to possibly pursue a career in law and feels like journalism is an excellent way to practice voicing her opinion to large audiences.
