The APAC Improv show was held on Friday, August 31, 2023 and was a very impressive and entertaining show.

Both Sophomore Lily Cash and Junior Devin Manasan believed the show was successful. They said they made a good amount of money, a lot of people attended, and they said all of the actors and actresses had a great connection.

The show took a lot more preparation than you might think, with the actors spending three weeks of class periods preparing and rehearsing for the show. The most difficult part for them was having to create and act out so many characters on the spot, but they loved working with all the people and figuring out how to work together. Devin and Lily both believed that Team 2 had the best performance; they did a great job portraying many different characters and making their scene very fun and entertaining.

While the night was a success overall, there is always room to improve for next time. Cash thought the voting process could be streamlined to be more efficient and convenient; while Manasan believed the performers would have benefited more from a longer performance time. With these improvements in mind for next time, we are looking forward to many more Improv events in the future!

Lily plays softball and feels like her experience with the sport gives her insight into being an athlete and reporting on athletics. She says, “ I take sixth hour softball, so I know a lot of the coaches and athletes throughout the school and I can make connections with them.” Coming from a charter school, Lily feels that being in the Wolf Howl is a new and exciting experience. After high school, Lily hopes to possibly pursue a career in law and feels like journalism is an excellent way to practice voicing her opinion to large audiences.
