The Wolf Howl Newspaper is a welcoming elective for students to have the opportunity to share their ideas and opinions to the public. It’s also a fun way to engage with the school community and show how important each student’s voice is.

Reporter Oliver Perez is experiencing his first year here on the Wolf Howl Newspaper team. He’s in his senior year here at Chandler High, and this is his first time participating in any journalism-related activity.

Oliver’s favorite part of being at school is getting to class and seeing his friends. Oliver admits, “It’s weird, but I kind of like coming to school sometimes.” Regardless, he does enjoy the relaxation of finally being at home after a long day on campus. 

Oliver’s favorite musical artist right now is Amy Winehouse. He enjoys her music because of her unique, “raspy” voice.

Oliver chose to join the newspaper this year through the encouragement of his friend Abby Ogles, who is the Wolf Howl‘s new Sports Editor. “I asked if she liked it. She said she did, and I wanted to try something new,” said Oliver.
