Dominic D’Amico is a passionate and driven student who has left a lasting mark on Chandler High School through his outstanding commitment to the performing arts, leadership, and academic excellence. With a 4.53 weighted GPA and rigorous coursework, including AP Music Theory, Jazz Band, Chamber Choir, Company Theater, and more, Dominic excelled both in and out of the classroom.
Dominic didn’t just participate—he elevated everything he touched.
Throughout his four years at Chandler, Dominic has been a leader both on stage and behind the scenes. As Section Leader and Vice President of the Choir Program, President of the Theater Program, and a key contributor to the Mental Health Matters club, Dominic has inspired those around him with his talent, work ethic, and genuine spirit. Whether he’s portraying Oberon in A Midsummer Night’s Dream or leading open mic days and theater outreach programs, Dominic uses his voice to bring stories to life and uplift others.
Dominic’s musical achievements are nothing short of exceptional. He is a five-time featured soloist in the Chamber Choir, a member of the Regional and All-State Honors Choirs, and a standout performer in the Concert and Men’s Choir. He has taken home top honors, including:
- Superior Score and Featured Soloist at the Festival Disney Competition (2024)
- Gold Awards at the Cal State Fullerton Concert Choir and Jazz Band Competitions (2022, 2023)
- Best Musical Awards for Anastasia (2023) and Legally Blonde (2022)
- Arizona State Gammage Musical Theater Finalist for three consecutive years, most recently as Reverend Shaw Moore in Footloose (2024)
- Superior One-Act Awards at the International Thespian Society Festival in 2022, 2023, and 2024
Outside the arts, Dominic is an entrepreneur and community builder. He founded Dom’s Delicious Desserts in 2020, sharing homemade baked goods across Phoenix. He’s also worked at Jamba and Pacific Sunwear, showcasing his adaptability and commitment to service.
Dominic earned the Presidential Scholarship ($9,000) and the Living and Learning Scholarship ($3,000) from Arizona State University, where he will continue to grow his musical and academic journey.
