CHS Seniors share their 2025 Prom memories

Here at Chandler High School, many people and groups strive to make Senior Year special for our students. There are so many memorable senior-focused events for students to experience, starting with Senior Sunrise and ending with Prom and Graduation, which many students celebrate with friends they’ve made over the last four years and beyond. These Senior Year memories can stay with them for the rest of their lives, like going to senior prom with a special date (or an awesome group of friends) or taking a day off school to hang out at the lake with your friends.

Prom is one of those annual traditions that students often look forward for several years. There’s just something about being able to dress up and dance the night away with all your best friends!

Taylor Dory, senior, said she had a great time at this year’s prom, held at OdySea Aquarium in Scottsdale. “It was so fun being able to see so many people who I’ve known all my life all dressed up and having a great time,” Taylor said.

The highlight of the evening came when seniors Asianna O’Neil and Sean Perez were crowned Prom Queen and King.

Tammy Tran, a senior, reflected on the night, calling it “a very bittersweet moment,” but added that she’s “excited to see what the future holds and just excited to enjoy this moment in the present.” Prom offered students one final moment to celebrate together: beneath the lights, above the ocean, and on the edge of new beginnings.

Roselyn Johnson, Reporter

Roselyn Johnson is a passionate and dynamic freshman on the Chandler Wolf Howl team. An avid volleyball player, Roselyn combines her love for sports with a passion for journalism. Even though she’s just starting high school, Roselyn is already excited to contribute to the newspaper. Her goal is to become a sports broadcaster, and she plans on attending college to major in journalism or communications. Roselyn is keen on covering sports and political issues, always bringing a fresh perspective. Roselyn’s hottest take? “We never landed on the moon,” she asserts confidently. In her free time, Roselyn can be found outside enjoying physical activities and exploring nature, always curious to learn more.

Melanie Harris, Reporter

Melanie Harris is a freshman at Chandler High School. This is her first year as a reporter for The Wolf Howl.

Kenadie Chee, Reporter

Kenadie Chee is a sophomore at Chandler High School, and this is her first year as a member of the Wolf Howl. Kenadie describes herself as laidback and artistic. Other than Newspaper, she is also involved in Graphic Design and enjoys spending time sketching and drawing. Kenadie also plays volleyball competitively. After high school, Kenadie wants to obtain a good-paying job or pursue her artistic career. Kenadie states, “If I get to do something as an artist, maybe I would be an art teacher or something similar.” Kenadie has a mixture of both introvert and extrovert qualities. For example, when she is with new people she doesn’t talk much but when she is with family or friends she can be a very outgoing and fun person to be around. She is very excited to be a reporter for the Wolf Howl this upcoming year!

Ipshita Chowdhury, Reporter

Ipshita Chowdhury is a junior at Chandler High School. Ipshita was originally born in Bangladesh and has lived in New York and Pennsylvania. This is Ipshita’s first year as a member of the Wolf Howl. She joined this year because of her love for writing and a recommendation from her 10th grade English teacher. She is excited to publish her first story and to write about her passions, social issues, and politics. Ipshita is also involved in Muslim Student Union and volunteers outside of school at a non-profit organization. After high school, Ipshita wants to attend NYU majoring in Political Sciences or Criminal Justice, then plans to attend law school. Ipshita says if she was an animal, she’d be a tiger: “You’d be on the top of the food chain and I like to assert my dominance.”

Bella Dana, Editor-in-Chief

Bella Dana is an outstanding senior who is not afraid to share her own opinions. Outside of Newspaper, Bella’s great love is theater, and she plans to continue the thespian life even after high school. Bella is also involved in NHS and Drama club! Intelligent and ambitious, we know Bella will attain many achievements even after high school. Bella’s most unpopular opinion? She “genuinely hate[s] donuts” and cannot stand the smell of them!
