The nostalgia of the infamous Call of Duty™ Black Ops‘ zombies, multiplayer and campaign is back. With the new release of Black Ops 6, thousands of gamers ranging from teens to adults rushed to buy the game in anticipation of its release date on October 25, 2024.
Sergio Patron, a junior, has been playing the game almost everyday after school since its release. He said that although this is the seventh game in Activision’s wildly popular Call of Duty: Black Ops series, Black Ops 6 still feels fresh: “The game is completely different from the other Call of Duty games that have been released within the last few years. It has a new feel to it that the other Call of Duty games never had.”
Players around the globe have expressed similarly positive experiences. Some say it brings them back to “the good old days” when they would come home from school to log on and play with all their friends until the late hours, even if they’re now coming home from ther jobs instead of classes. Players seem to be enjoying all three modes of the game: the single-player campaign, a multiplayer component, and the cooperative round-based Zombies mode. Activision has included a wealth of content to reward players of the long-running first-person shooter franchise: lots of Easter eggs and hidden secrets, improved customizability, new mechanics and weapons, and so much more, giving even veteran players like Sergio more than enough gameplay to keep them logged on for hours and hours.
“It’s gotten to the point where I’ve been playing it almost every single day. I’ve had a blast playing the game,” Patron said.
