About the Contributors
Madeline Moran, Editor-In-Chief & Features Editor
Madeline Moran is the Editor-in-Chief and the Features Editor for the Wolf Howl. As Editor-in-Chief, she is thrilled to display her leadership skills and extensive writing process. After graduating from high school, she plans to attend The University of Arizona as a business major. She hopes to own and operate a hotel because she “loves them more than actual vacations.” One character Madeline compares herself to is Chuck Bass from Gossip Girl, due to their shared ambition and self-reliance. Madeline’s innate empathy and drive extend further than the Wolf Howl and will help her rise above her peers in any aspect of life.
Gabby Miller, Reporter
Gabby is a senior at Chandler High who is passionate about many things when it comes to Journalism. She joined the Wolf Howl because she wants to educate others about the issues going on, and feels she can be more efficient when writing. She says, “I wanted to enhance my writing skills before going to college. I don’t always get my points across verbally, and I’m more comfortable writing about it.” She plans to go to NAU to study Journalism and Indigenous studies. She tells underclassmen, “...make your high school years count. It’s ok if you don't get the grade you want in the class. You’re only gonna be that young once.”
Angela Carlton, Entertainment Editor
The one that does a lot of game-related reviews.
Angela Carlton is a senior at Chandler High and the Editor of Wolf Howls Entertainment section. She joined the Newspaper Staff as a junior, after being recommended by her teacher. When asked about her initial reaction to being accepted into the club, she said, “I was really excited because it was something new and something I had never really done before”. Over the past year, she’s noticed a huge difference in her journalistic work, noting the major improvement just between her stories in the spring and winter issues last year. As the Entertainment Editor, Angela also had some great advice for people that are new to journalism, "Try to experiment with different topics and see what you really like, don’t be afraid to branch out into different sections”.
