This year Chandler High School added over 800 more students beyond our usual freshman class. Now more than ever, and being the biggest student body yet, we strive to do our best! With fall sports, club activities, and upcoming events coming up, there is so much to tell you. We have less than a month left before Fall Break and we still have so many events and activities planned. Fall sports just started and being named The School of Champions, our sports teams have a big name to live up to? (No pressure.) The girls’ volleyball teams recently had their first games of the season, with the freshman team beating Red Mountain High with a score of 2-0. The junior varsity and varsity team played their best but came short of victory by a hair. The football team’s first game was on September 2nd where the JV and Varsity team won against Centennial High School 28-7. They won the second game 17-7 against Cherry Creek. Other fall sports like Cross Country, Swim and Dive, and Badminton are still early in their seasons, but we at the Wolf Howl all wish a successful season for our players!

The CHS Club Fair in August showcased some of the 90+ clubs CHS offers. With clubs ranging from the Fashion Club to Letters for Rose to the Black Student Union, our school really has a group for everyone, so please don’t hesitate to join!

Oh dear! Oh dear! Homecoming is almost here! On September 25th, CHS is hosting this year’s homecoming dance for all grades. This year’s theme is ‘Wolves in Wonderland’, so don’t be afraid to dress to impress! And to all of our White Rabbits, try not to be late! Our last day of this quarter is September 24th, which means that congratulations are in order! You made it through 1⁄4 of the school year! Our first day back from the Fall Intersession is October 12th, so make the best out of Fall Break while you can? I know I will. Look out for our Winter Issue next quarter, and enjoy your break, Wolves!
