During Ben Cluff’s four years in high school, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to his academic achievements and personal growth, excelling in rigorous classes while participating in hands-on extracurricular activities that shaped his future goals.
Choosing a favorite class in high school can be hard, especially when Chandler High offers several unique courses and electives to enroll in, but Ben was pretty confident about his own favorite.
“My favorite class would probably have to be Culinary,” said Cluff.
Ben stated that out of all the classes he took during his high school career, Culinary was hands down his favorite. When it came to extracurriculars during high school, Ben did join a few clubs on campus that he liked, but the main one that caught his attention was robotics.
“Yeah, I did robotics from my sophomore to my senior year,” Cluff mentioned when he said he wasn’t involved in many extracurriculars during his first year.
When he learned about the robotics club, Ben assumed that he would only join it temporarily, but he actually ended up sticking with robotics until his senior year of high school.
Ben has many fascinating high school achievements to point out, but he points to his 4.27 weighted GPA as his most significant academic accomplishment. Ben gave some of the credit to his teachers, saying that Ms. Sheridan (English) and Mr. Patton (Culinary) significantly impacted him during his time at CHS.
Ben mentioned that “having fun” was the one piece of advice that he would give to someone starting their high school career.
After graduation, Ben plans to attend ASU Polytechnic to study electrical systems.
