Aleana Samaniego bets you didn’t know that her favorite Disney character is Snow White. “It’s so old,” she explained. “It’s never anyone’s favorite.”

Aleana said she enjoyed her overall high school experience, despite not feeling like a natural student: “I’m not really the type of person who enjoys being in class.”
She did, however, love her time working on the El Lobo Yearbook. Some of Aleana’s favorite memories at CHS are growing relationships with other students in the yearbook room.
A memorably bad high school moment? “My freshman English teacher [made] us go on ‘blind dates’ with each other. In class. On Valentine’s Day!” Aleana remembered.
Looking back on her time at CHS, Aleana offered some advice for other high school students, hoping they don’t make the same mistakes she did.
“If I could do something differently during my high school years, it would probably be going to class more,” she confessed. “Senioritis is real. It will hit you like a truck.”
Aleana plans to attend community college and then finish off strong at ASU to pursue her dream of becoming a professional broadcast journalist.
